Hey, guys. I know it's been forever, but I assure you that I've been super busy. But I'm "vacationing" now, so it's definitely time for an update.

First off, I'm watching the CMA's right now and Album of the Year went to LeeAnn Womack for "There's More Where That Came From" so we'll just have to wish Tim better luck next year.

Now, on to other news.

SHOKAN, N.Y. (AP) - Allaire Studios sit at the end of a slithering mountain road. Airy rooms offer skytop views of the Catskill Mountains.

Norah Jones, Tim McGraw and David Bowie are among those who recorded here, bypassing studios a couple of hours south in Manhattan. At a time when even big-name recording studios are closing, Allaire has found a niche as a "destination studio." Musicians come and stay at a white-sided mountaintop compound that offers not only studios near the artsy enclave of Woodstock, but bedrooms, meals and working space cloistered from the world below. Mod Post: Hurricane evacuation, Swampstock '05? [Wednesday
September 21st, 2005 @ 1:02am]

[ mood | tired/rushed ]

Just a warning that I will be out of the loop as far as communities are concerned for a week or more, so there won't be any updates. (Please don't desert the community due to lack of updates!) I'm evacuating Brazoria County, TX in the morning, so I'll be gone for a while and I doubt updating communities will be on my list of priorities while I'm worrying about my house and possessions being blown away.

If anyone else has updates, please post them.

Oh, and has anyone heard anything about Swampstock '05 in Rayville, LA? Rumor has it that it's being cancelled this year. I will not be a happy girl if this is true...and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Tim McGraw disc up for CMA Album of the Year.
By Neil Haislop

NASHVILLE, TN Wednesday Sep.14.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- While Tim McGraw fans grumbled openly about the fact that he was not nominated for the Entertainer or Male Vocalist CMA awards, they took solace in the fact that his hit-filled album "Live Like You Were Dying" is on the Album of the Year contenders list.

As it turns out the CD was not eligible for consideration last year, but is this year, thus the recognition now.

The title song is not eligible this year because it became the first song to win Single and song honors from the CMA, ACM and Grammy awards.

MEANWHILE, Tim was in the studio yesterday recording the Week No. 2 of his Monday Night Football versions of his "I Like It I Love It."

McGraw's CD A Tapestry Of Life - source
By Neil Haislop

NASHVILLE, TN Wednesday Aug.24.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- When we first talked with Tim McGraw about his LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYING, he said the title song and tunes like "Do You Want Fries With That" were examples of the diversity of the CD.

"To me this whole album is like this tapestry of life and you can put in and lay back and listen to it and it just kind of carries you through this whole virtual life kind of deal. Every song has such a different texture and style to it, but it all sounds like me, which is really cool."

News is so slow. Sorry, guys.
